Hi there Pete My! What a nightmare out there in internet land, there are so many confusing pages out there relating to wireless cards for the mac. I don't know what your budget is but what I would advise if you are close to an apple store, go in and ask at the genius bar for their advice, they are always able to give you very good advice. The one piece of advice they may give you is to search out an airport card on the web and put it into your G5, it could cost up to $80 and you will probably need an airport card holder as well.

There is a website called www.applemacparts.com One piece of kit that I have seen that a few people have bought is available at it appears to be mac compatible and costs about $39.99 and is in stock. I would check out their returns policy before buying just in case it does not work. Not sure where you are located I've done the search on US websites because most of the users that come on here appear to be from the States, I'm located in Scotland so hopefully if you come from somewhere other than the States you'll be able to convert the costs. Hope this helps.
