Your LAN IPs match the remote LAN. Have not use the Sonicwall Netextender, but see whether you have an option to not set the VPN IP as the default route/gateway. In terminal window prior to connecting to your work run netstat -rn to get the current routing table on your system. Then after you connect to the remote rerun netstat -rn and see whether the default route/gateway not reflects the VPN IP. Refer to page 30 to see the menu option where you can check what routes the VPN sets.
