Linotype Fontexplorer X 1.2.3 Build 833 For Mac

Hi i have tried to work this out for near on 6 months now and have crashed 3 mac laptops in the process so i believe it's now time to ask the experts:) What i am trying to do is combine all fonts from a specific family into a single group. I understand that Fontbook allows the user to create custom groups and collections but this doesn't help in applications such as InDesign where fonts are listed exactly as they have been installed on in the OS. In order to explain this further please refer to the attached image called Group example. The image shows a particular troublesome font. I have the entire family but would like to list it as a single entry with all its variants to reside within the parent so when i click the little arrow they are listed beneath (as shown with Times New Roman on the image). Why do i want to do this you ask? Well as most designers using CS know, CS applications list the fonts as per within the system and hence i have to scroll through hundreds of fonts each time in instead of the families which makes things tedious.
