The EVGA GTX 670 FTW Signature 2 is good, but it's not clear that there's a place for it in the market. Hi guys, A little bit of background before i dive into the problem. My graphics card GTX 670 ftw used to crash the windows kernel driver every time my mouse was idle and it became a pain. Teamcenter nx training. I installed the latest driver as you suggested, and it appeared to install okay but when I click on it in System Preferences I get the message: 'Unable to open the NVIDIA Driver Manager'. I am using the EVGA version of the 750Ti card if that makes a difference.

Games like 'Evolve' have begun to make me ponder an upgrade. • For now, what is the best driver set for my EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW? I remember back in the day when new drivers could actually hinder performance of older cards. Is that still the case? I didn't want to install the newest 347.52 from Nvidia's website without confirming first.

Unless people are reporting widespread issues for your specific GPU (GTX 670), you should be good to go. Compared to that driver, you should see an FPS gain in a lot of games because NVIDIA's had two extra years to flesh out the Kepler architecture and optimize newer games. Newer drivers are especially important if you have an SLI setup because they include SLI profiles, but you'll see an improvement with just your single 670 as well. I haven't seen any reports of widespread degraded performance with newer drivers even on cards like the GTX 400 series, but there is no harm in testing it out if you want to find out for sure. • The GFE software is fine. You can set it to not optimize your games automatically if you'd rather tweak them manually, but really I find the settings it defaults to are a good starting point (versus the game auto-detecting your settings for you), and then you can tweak later to your heart's content.

There's a few cool features like ShadowPlay (virtually zero performance overhead game recording) and game streaming to SHIELD that make it worthwhile for me. Both those features should work on a 670. I wouldn't be able to say that with any certainty.

I do not know the exact processes I run. I do close all other programs when gaming, though. Chrome, as well. I do know that I got an SSD in the middle of noticing all this and still had the problems.
